Ishqiya

Two criminals seek refuge with a gang-lords widow who proposes kidnapping a businessman to them, while they both fall for her and she reveals her desire to find her thought-to-be-dead husband, leading them on a dangerous journey. Ishqiya is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, Salman Shahid, Adil Hussain, Rajesh Sharma and Dinesh Sharma. VB Pictures in association with Shemaroo Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Raman Maroo and Vishal Bhardwaj. Ishqiya is written by Vishal Bhardwaj, Sabrina Dhawan, Abhishek Chaubey and Gulzar and it is directed by Abhishek Chaubey. BSK Network and Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Ishqiya was released on 29th January 2010 and takes a screen time of 115 minutes. Ishqiya was made on a budget of ₹19 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹22 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Vishal Bhardwaj, Sabrina Dhawan, Abhishek Chaubey and Gulzar. Cinematography was done by Mohana Krishna and editing by Namrata Rao. The music was composed by National Award winner Vishal Bhardwaj. At the 2011 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Dialogue. At the 2011 Filmfare Awards It also won an award for Best Actress (Vidya Balan). At the 2011 National Film Awards It also won 4 awards including: Best Playback Singer (Female), Best Audiography (Location Sound Recordist), Best Audiography (Re-recordist of the Final Mixed Track) and Best Music Direction (songs).
