The movie is inspired from Wedding Bells by Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy. Sri Lakshmi films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vishwa Sagara. The movie is directed by Phani Ramachandra. Sun Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Gowri Ganesha was released on 12th June 1991. The Film was successful at box office.
