Robert McCall, a quiet man working at a hardware store in Boston, befriends a teenage prostitute named Alina and seeks revenge against her brutal pimp, leading him to uncover a larger criminal syndicate and take justice into his own hands, eventually killing the syndicate leader and continuing to help others as The Equalizer. The Equalizer is a 2014 American English-language Action Crime film starring Denzel Washington, Marton Csokas, Chlo Grace Moretz, David Harbour, Bill Pullman, Melissa Leo and Frantz Louizia. The movie is inspired from The Equalizer by Michael Sloan Richard Lindheim. Columbia Pictures in association with Village Roadshow Pictures and Escape Artists. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Alex Siskin, Denzel Washington, Mace Neufeld, Michael Sloan, Richard Wenk, Steve Tisch, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Tony Eldridge. The Equalizer is written by Richard Wenk, Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim and it is directed by Antoine Fuqua. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Equalizer was released on 21st November 2014 and takes a screen time of 132 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Equalizer was made on a budget of $55 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $192 million. Cinematography was done by Mauro Fiore and editing by John Refoua. The music was composed by Harry Gregson-williams.
