The Kannada film April Fool is about a shopkeeper named Ramu and his friends who are known for their pranks, but things go wrong when their mischief leads to chaos, exploring themes of friendship, honesty, and accountability. April Fool is a 1997 Kannada-language Action Drama movie starring Raisul Islam Asad, Champa, Pijush Banerjee, Bank Janardhan, Girish Karnad, Girija Lokesh and Sarigama Viji. The movie is inspired from Selim Al Din. Big Screen Entertainment and Eros International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kumar Mangat Pathak and Vishal Bhardwaj. The movie is directed by Saidul Anam Tutul. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. April Fool was released on 4th June 1997. The Film was successful at box office. April Fool was made on a budget of ₹7 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of $473 million. The music was composed by Alauddin Ali.
