The story follows Mysore, an unemployed and cheerful man who helps his best friend Kallesh arrange a meeting with the woman he loves, Jaya; Jayas skeptical father rejects their relationship but they elope and get married, facing everyday challenges and constant bickering, worsened by the arrival of Kalleshs taunting mother; Jaya eventually leaves and seeks shelter in a womens hostel, causing Mysore to become outraged; however, Mysore eventually brings them back together, resolving their issues and forming a close bond with an orphan named Chottey.
