A Jewish bar owner in 1947 Chicago forms a successful blues band, leading to the establishment of a record label that brings in talented black musicians whose flourishing careers blur the lines between business and personal lives. Cadillac Records is a 2008 American English-language Biography Drama film featuring Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, Gabrielle Union, Columbus Short, Cedric The Entertainer, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Rege Lewis. TriStar Pictures in association with Sony Music Entertainment and Parkwood Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sofia Sondervan and Andrew Lack. The movie is written and directed by Darnell Martin. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Cadillac Records was released on 5th December 2008 and takes a screen time of 109 minutes. Cadillac Records was made on a budget of $12 million and at the box office it grossed only $8 million. Cinematography was done by Anastas Michos and editing by Peter C. Frank. The music was composed by Terence Blanchard along with Steve Jordan.
