Two brothers form their band, the Blues Brothers, to raise money to save their Catholic orphanage from closure, encountering obstacles and escaping from the police multiple times before ultimately securing a recording contract to save the day. Universal Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Robert K. Weiss. The Blues Brothers is written by Dan Aykroyd and John Landis and it is directed by John Landis. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie.
