When the New York child performer CC Bloom and San Francisco rich kid Hillary meet in a holiday resort in Atlantic City, it marks the start of a lifetime friendship between them. The two keep in touch through letters for a number of years until Hillary, now a successful lawyer moves to New York to stay with struggling singer CC. The movie shows the various stages of their friendship and their romances including their love for the same man. Written by Sami Al-Taher Beaches is a 1988 American English-language Comedy Drama film starring Bette Midler, Barbara Hershey, John Heard, Spalding Gray, Lainie Kazan, James Read and Daria Bauer. The movie is based on Beaches by Iris Rainer Dart. Beaches was Produced by Bonnie Bruckheimer-martell, Bette Midler and Margaret Jeuth. Beaches is written by Mary Agnes Donoghue and directed by Garry Marshall. Buena Vista Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The film has a running time of 123 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Beaches was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $57 million.
