Amanda euthanizes her horse, reconnects with her former best friend Lily who was paid to befriend her, and together they plan to kill Lilys stepfather Mark, ultimately framing Amanda for the murder and leading her to be committed to a psychiatric hospital while Lily lies to maintain her academic success. Thoroughbreds is a 2017 American English-language Comedy Crime film featuring Olivia Cooke, Anya Taylor-joy, Anton Yelchin, Paul Sparks, Francie Swift, Kaili Vernoff and Jason Beckett. June Pictures in association with B Story and Big Indie Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Andrew Duncan, Jim Rash, Kevin J. Walsh, Nat Faxon and Alex Saks. The film is written and directed by Cory Finley. Focus Features acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Thoroughbreds was released on 9th March 2018 and takes a screen time of 92 minutes. Thoroughbreds was made on a budget of $4 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million. Cinematography was done by Lyle Vincent and editing by Louise Ford. The music was composed by Erik Friedlander.
