Héctor Elizondo (born December 22, 1936) is an American film and television actor. He is probably best known for his Golden Globe nominated performance in Pretty Woman in 1990, which is one of many collaborations with director Garry Marshall, which also include Runaway Bride (1999), The Princess Diaries (2001), Valentine's Day (2010), and Mother's Day (2016). His other movies include The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974), American Gigolo (1980), The Flamingo Kid (1984), Nothing in Common, (1986), Necessary Roughness (1991), Being Human (1993), Beverly Hills Cop III (1994), and Turbulence (1996). He also is well known for his Emmy award winning appearance on Chicago Hope, and co-starred as Ed Alzate on the sitcom Last Man Standing (2011–2017).
