A man seeks revenge for his fathers death and his mothers attempted rape, rises to become a notorious underworld kingpin, avenges an assassination attempt, saves his life with the help of a coconut vendor and a nurse, kills his attackers, is disowned by his mother, enters a relationship with the nurse, kills his sisters captor, accepts his sisters affair with the coconut vendor, marries the nurse, gains control of his old village, destroys his enemy, and is forgiven by his mother. Dharma Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Yash Johar. Agneepath is written by Kader Khan and Santosh Saroj and it is directed by Mukul Anand and Mukul S. Anand. Dharma Productions acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Agneepath was released on 16th February 1990 and takes a screen time of 181 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Agneepath was made on a budget of ₹71 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹119 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Santosh Saroj and Kader Khan. Cinematography was done by Pravin Bhatt. The music was composed by Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar along with Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma and Laxmikant Pyarelal.
