During the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., a disillusioned man named Tank becomes involved in a group of black revolutionaries planning a violent racial conflict, but ultimately betrays them and is killed by his ex-comrades. Uptight is a 1968 American English-language Drama Thriller movie starring Raymond St. Jacques, Ruby Dee, Julian Mayfield, Janet Maclachlan, Roscoe Lee Browne, Frank Silvera and Marvin Walters. Uptight was Produced by Jules Dassin, Ruby Dee and Jim Di Gangi. Uptight is written by Jules Dassin, Ruby Dee, Julian Mayfield and Liam O flaherty and it is directed by Jules Dassin. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Uptight was released on 28th December 1968 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. Cinematography was done by Boris Kaufman and editing by Robert Lawrence
