The film is written and directed by Salim Ahmed and Salim Ahamed. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pathemari was released on 9th October 2015 and takes a screen time of 118 minutes. Pathemari was made on a budget of ₹6 crore. Cinematography was done by Madhu Ambat and editing by Vijay Shankar. The music was composed by Bijibal. At the 2016 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam.
