Varma Creations was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ram Gopal Varma. The motion picture is written and directed by Krishna Vamshi and Krishna Vamsi. KAD acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Gulabi was released on 1st January 1996 and takes a screen time of 138 minutes. Cinematography was done by Rasool Ellore and editing by Shankar. The music was composed by Shashi Preetam.
