The movie follows three rebellious youths from a remote village in Tamil Nadu who constantly try to escape their village, but after being punished and finally managing to escape to Madurai, they discover their friend Azhagar has married Angelina Jolie and plans to move to London, which inspires them to go to Goa, where they meet Jack and explore the party culture, falling in love and having misadventures, eventually returning to their village with their new friends and love interests, while also parodying Tamil cinema themes and featuring cameos by the director. Goa is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language Comedy Romantic Comedy movie featuring Jai, Premji, Aravind Akash, Sampath Raj, Piaa Bajpai, Premgi Amaren and Satya Priya. Ocher Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Soundarya Rajinikanth. Goa is written by Venkat Prabhu, Soundarya R. Ashwin, G. Kartik and Ravi Kumar and it is directed by Venkat Prabhu. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Goa was released on 29th January 2010 and takes a screen time of 164 minutes. Goa was made on a budget of ₹65 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹70 crore. Cinematography was done by Sakthi Saravanan and editing by Praveen K. L. and N. B. Srikanth. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
