Thaniyavartanam

In a rural village in Kerala, Balagopalan Masters life is turned upside down when his family believes he is cursed to go mad, leading to ostracization, confinement, and tragic events. Thaniyavartanam is a 1987 Indian Malayalam-language Drama Family movie starring Mammootty, Thilakan, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Asha Jayaram, Baby Kottarakara, Valsala Menon and Master Vinu. Nandana Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nandakumar. Thaniyavartanam is written by Ambazhathil Karunakaran Lohithadas and A. K. Lohithadas and it is directed by Sibi Malayil. Tharangini Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Thaniyavartanam was released on 15th August 1987 and takes a screen time of 120 minutes. Cinematography was done by Saloo George and editing by L. Bhoominathan. The music was composed by Johnson along with M G Radhakrishnan. At the 1988 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Film.
