Uriyadi

Uriyadi a politics based action thriller features Vijay Kumar, Chandru, Mime Gopi, Citizen Sivakumar, Chandru Kumar and Henna Bella in supporting roles. This 2016 Tamil film is about four engineering students get involved in nasty politics from local caste leaders accidentally. The film which was written, directed and produced by Vijay Kumar was narrated by Arvind Swamy. Paul Livingstone and Abhinav Sunder Nayak served as the cinematographer and editor respectively. The music was composed by Masala Coffee and Vijay Kumar. It was released on 27th May 2016 and occupies a screen time of 90 minutes. This was the first time a heat treatment furnace was used in a Tamil film. A certificate for the movie was provided by the Censor Board. The film received positive reviews collected INR 2.50 crores on the first weekend. During the Chennai floods in late 2015, certain footages of the film were lost.
