A group of friends attempt to kidnap Freddy Heineken, the owner of Heineken, in Amsterdam to collect a high ransom but their lack of experience leads to failure and their eventual arrest. Kidnapping Mr. Heineken is a 2015 English-language Action Crime motion picture starring Anthony Hopkins, Sam Worthington, Jim Sturgess, Ryan Kwanten, Mark Van Eeuwen, Thomas Cocquerel and Tom Cain. The movie is based on Kidnapping Freddy Heineken by Peter R. de Vries. European Film Company in association with Informant Europe SPRL and Umedia. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael A. Simpson, Judy Cairo and Howard Meltzer. Kidnapping Mr. Heineken is written by William Brookfield and Peter R. De Vries and it is directed by Daniel Alfredson. Alchemy acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Kidnapping Mr. Heineken was released on 19th March 2015 and takes a screen time of 95 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $3 million.
