In 1994, an ex-con named Daniel Lugo befriends a bodybuilder named Adrian Doorbal and together, along with another ex-con named Paul Doyle, they scheme to extort a wealthy gym member named Victor Kershaw for his assets, leading to kidnappings, murder, and ultimately their conviction and sentencing to death. Pain & Gain is a 2013 American English-language Action Comedy film starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Tony Shalhoub, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry and Sterling Royston. The movie is inspired from Pain & Gain by Pete Collins. De Line Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael Bay, Ian Bryce and Donald De Line. Pain & Gain is written by Christopher Markus, Stephen Mcfeely and Pete Collins and it is directed by Michael Bay. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Pain & Gain was released on 1st August 2013 and takes a screen time of 129 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Pain & Gain was made on a budget of $26 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $87 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
