In 1994, an ex-con named Daniel Lugo befriends a bodybuilder named Adrian Doorbal and together, along with another ex-con named Paul Doyle, they scheme to extort a wealthy gym member named Victor Kershaw for his assets, leading to kidnappings, murder, and ultimately their conviction and sentencing to death. Pain & Gain is a 2013 American English-language Action Comedy film starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Tony Shalhoub, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry and Sterling Royston. The movie is inspired from Pain & Gain by Pete Collins. De Line Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael Bay, Ian Bryce and Donald De Line. Pain & Gain is written by Christopher Markus, Stephen Mcfeely and Pete Collins and it is directed by Michael Bay. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Pain & Gain was released on 1st August 2013 and takes a screen time of 129 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Pain & Gain was made on a budget of $26 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $87 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Cinematography was done by Ben Seresin and editing by Thomas A. Muldoon and Joel Negron. The music was composed by Steve Jablonsky.
