Funny People

A retired stand-up comedian turned movie star, diagnosed with leukemia and feeling disillusioned, hires an aspiring comedian as his assistant and joke writer, reconnects with his ex-fiancée, and navigates a love triangle while attempting to revive his stand-up career before ultimately reconciling with his assistant as friends. Funny People is a 2009 American English-language Comedy Drama movie featuring Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman and Guy Richardson. Columbia Pictures in association with Universal Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Judd Apatow, Clayton Townsend and Barry Mendel. The movie is written and directed by Judd Apatow. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Funny People was released on 30th July 2009 and takes a screen time of 146 minutes. Funny People was made on a budget of $75 million and at the box office it grossed only $71 million. Cinematography was done by Janusz Kami ski and editing by Brent White and Craig Alpert. The music was composed by Jason Schwartzman along with Michael Andrews.
