Boys on the Side

Jane, a musician, moves from New York to Los Angeles with her real estate agent friend Robin after witnessing a fight and inadvertently causing the death of an abusive boyfriend, ultimately leading to Robins death from AIDS and Janes relocation to Los Angeles. Boys on the Side is a 1995 American English-language Comedy Drama motion picture starring Whoopi Goldberg, Mary-louise Parker, Drew Barrymore, Matthew Mcconaughey, James Remar, Billy Wirth and Daniel Fortman. Le Studio Canal+ in association with Regency Enterprises, Alcor Films and New Regency. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Herbert Ross, Arnon Milchan and Steven Reuther. Boys on the Side is written by Don Roos, Patricia Karlan, Russ Kavanaugh, Patrick Mccormick, Arnon Milchan, Steven Reuther and Herbert Ross and it is directed by Herbert Ross. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the film. Boys on the Side was released on 3rd February 1995 and takes a screen time of 115 minutes. Boys on the Side was made on a budget of $21 million and at the box office it grossed only $6 million. Cinematography was done by Donald E. Thorin and editing by Michael R. Miller. The music was composed by David Newman.
