A mob mix-up in Chicago sends two chanteuses screaming for L.A., where they score a perfect gig: posing as drag queens on the dinner theater/cabaret circuit. Things get extra-weird when a guy falls for one of the girls. Connie and Carla is a 2004 American English-language Comedy Crime film starring Nia Vardalos, Toni Collette, Stephen Spinella, Dash Mihok, David Duchovny, Alec Mapa and Greg Grunberg. Spyglass Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum, Jonathan Glickman and Tom Hanks. Connie and Carla is written by Nia Vardalos and directed by Michael Lembeck. Universal Studios acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Connie and Carla was released on 16th April 2004 and takes a screen time of 98 minutes. Connie and Carla was made on a budget of $27 million and at the box office it grossed only $11 million. Cinematography was done by Richard Greatrex and editing by David Finfer. The music was composed by Randy Edelman.
