A man is tasked with protecting a family and ends up falling in love with college-going Keerthi, who reciprocates his feelings, but their plans to elope are foiled until years later when they finally get married. Bodyguard is a 2012 Indian Telugu-language Action Comedy film starring Venkatesh Daggubati, Trisha Krishnan, Saloni Aswani, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Prakash Raj, Subbaraju and Gundu Sudharshan. The movie is inspired from Bodyguard by Siddique. Sri Sai Ganesh Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bellamkonda Suresh. Bodyguard is written by Gopichand Malineni and Siddique and it is directed by Gopichand Malineni. WalkerIBC Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Bodyguard was released on 12th January 2012 and takes a screen time of 155 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Bodyguard was made on a budget of ₹70 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹144 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Gopichand Malineni.
