Bipasha

A young couple plans to marry, but allegations against the moral character of the grooms mother causes a dilemma that reveals family secrets and centers around the redemption of the mothers honor in society. Bipasha is a 1962 Indian Bengali-language Drama Romance film starring Uttam Kumar, Suchitra Sen, Jiben Bose, Lily Chakravarty, Ketaki Dutta, Chhabi Biswas and Tulsi Chakraborty. The movie is based on Bipasha novel by Tarashankar Bandopadhyay. Chitra Prayojok was the production house involved in the project. Bipasha is written by Tarashankar Banerjee, Robin Chatterjee and Tarashankar Bandopadhyay and it is directed by Agradoot. Chandimata Films Private Limited acquired the distribution rights for the film. Bipasha was released on 26th June 1962 and takes a screen time of 133 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Gouriprasanna Majumder and and Hindi Dialogues - Pandit Bhusan. Cinematography was done by Bijoy Ghosh, and Bibhuti Laha and editing by Baidyanath Chatterjee. The music was composed by Robin Chatterjee.
