In a future world, Barbarella embarks on a mission to find an inventor and his weapon, encountering various adventures including a rescue, encounters with a blind angel and capture in a city where they learn about an evil energy source, ultimately leading to a rescue, an overthrow plot, and a final escape with the realization that angels have no memory of the past. Barbarella is a 1968 English-language Adventure Comedy motion picture featuring Jane Fonda, John Phillip Law, Marcel Marceau, David Hemmings, Ugo Tognazzi, Anita Pallenberg and Bernie Grant. The movie is based on Barbarella by Jean-Claude Forest. Marianne Productions in association with Dino de Laurentiis Cinematografica. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dino De Laurentiis. Barbarella is written by Jean-claude Forest, Claude Brulé, Terry Southern, Roger Vadim, Vittorio Bonicelli, Clement Biddle Wood, Brian Degas, Tudor Gates and Charles B. Griffith and it is directed by Roger Vadim. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Barbarella was released on 10th October 1968 and takes a screen time of 98 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Barbarella was made on a budget of $4 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $5 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Terry Southern, Roger Vadim, Claude Brul , Vittorio Bonicelli, Clement Biddle Wood, Brian Degas, Tudor Gates and Jean-Claude Forest. Cinematography was done by Claude Renoir and editing by Victoria Mercanton. The music was composed by Bob Crewe along with Charles Fox.
