A group of mercenaries band together to protect the farming world of Akir from the tyrannical warlord Sador who possesses a weapon that turns planets into small stars, and in the end, they sacrifice themselves to defeat him. Battle Beyond the Stars is a 1980 American English-language Action Adventure movie featuring Richard Thomas, Robert Vaughn, George Peppard, John Saxon, Sybil Danning, Darlanne Fluegel and Dan Vincent. Battle Beyond the Stars was Produced by Ed Carlin and Roger Corman. The movie is directed by Jimmy T. Murakami. New World Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Battle Beyond the Stars was released on 8th September 1980 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Battle Beyond the Stars was made on a budget of $2 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $7 million.
