In a near future, a man named James McCullen creates metal-devouring nanomites, selling warheads to NATO, but his plans are thwarted when a group of individuals known as G.I. Spyglass Entertainment in association with Hasbro and Di Bonaventura Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Brian Goldner and Bob Ducsay. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is written by Stuart Beattie, David Elliot, Paul Lovett, Michael B. Gordon and Stephen Sommers and it is directed by Stephen Sommers. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was released on 6th August 2009 and takes a screen time of 118 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was made on a budget of $175 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $302 million.
