When Eleanor, Theo, and Luke decide to take part in a sleep study at a huge mansion they get than they bargained for when Dr. Marrow tells them of the house s ghostly past. The Haunting is a 1999 American English-language Fantasy Horror movie featuring Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta-jones, Owen Wilson, Lili Taylor, Bruce Dern, Marian Seldes and Travis Tedford. The movie is inspired from The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. The Haunting was Produced by Colin Wilson, Donna Roth and Susan Arnold. The Haunting is written by David Self and Shirley Jackson and it is directed by Jan De Bont. DreamWorks Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Haunting was released on 1st September 1999 and takes a screen time of 114 minutes. The Haunting was made on a budget of $80 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by David Self and Michael Tolkin. Cinematography was done by Karl Walter Lindenlaub and editing by Michael Kahn. The music was composed by Jerry Goldsmith.
