Pranayam

The film revolves around the story of Achutha Menon, a former football player, who moves in with his daughter-in-law and granddaughter after a heart attack and reconnects with his former wife Grace, caring for her when she collapses while dealing with their childrens unruly behavior, until tragedy strikes when Grace dies of a heart attack and Mathews, her husband and a retired philosophy professor, suffers a stroke while on a trip with Menon. Pranayam is a 2011 Indian Malayalam-language Drama Romance movie featuring Jaya Prada, Anupam Kher, Mohanlal Viswanathan, Aryan, Apoorva Bose, Anoop Menon and Dhanya Mary Varghese. Fragrant Nature Film Creations was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Anne Sajeev and P. K. Sajeev. Pranayam is written by Blessy, Sajeev P.k. and Anne Sajeev and it is directed by Blessy. Maxlab Entertainments acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Pranayam was released on 31st August 2011 and takes a screen time of 139 minutes. Cinematography was done by Satheesh Kurup and editing by Raja Muhammed. The music was composed by M. Jayachandran. At the 2012 It won an award for Best Actor (Mohanlal Viswanathan).
