Splice is a 2009 English-language Drama Horror film starring Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, Delphine Chan Ac, Delphine Chanéac, Brandon Mcgibbon, Simona Maicanescu and Doug Hicton. Dark Castle Entertainment in association with Copperheart Entertainment, Gaumont, Telefilm Canada and Ontario Media Development Corporation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Steve Hoban. The motion picture is written and directed by Vincenzo Natali. Gaumont acquired the distribution rights for the film. Splice was released on 24th February 2010 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. Splice was made on a budget of $30 million and at the box office it grossed only $27 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Vincenzo Natali, Antoinette Terry Bryant and Doug Taylor. Cinematography was done by Tetsuo Nagata and editing by Michele Conroy. The music was composed by Cyrille Aufort.
