Sphere

A team investigates an American spacecraft at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, finding a sphere that grants the power to manifest fears and leads to tragedies, until they realize the fears were their own and ultimately escape. Sphere is a 1998 American English-language Drama Horror motion picture starring Dustin Hoffman, Sharon Stone, Samuel L. Jackson, Peter Coyote, Liev Schreiber, Queen Latifah and Ralph Tabakin. The movie is based on Sphere by Michael Crichton. Baltimore Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael Crichton, Barry Levinson and Andrew Wald. Sphere is written by Michael Crichton, Kurt Wimmer, Stephen Hauser and Paul Attanasio and it is directed by Barry Levinson. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Sphere was released on 12th March 1998 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. Sphere was made on a budget of $80 million and at the box office it grossed only $37 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Kurt Wimmer , Stephen Hauser and Paul Attanasio. Cinematography was done by Adam Greenberg and editing by Stu Linder. The music was composed by Elliot Goldenthal.
