A woman reluctantly returns to her role as a nun to teach music and helps a struggling Catholic school by inspiring a group of rowdy teenagers to become a choir and win a music competition despite opposition to close the school. Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit is a 1993 American English-language Comedy Family film featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Kathy Najimy, James Coburn, Maggie Smith, Barnard Hughes, Mary Wickes and Sally Stevens. The movie is inspired from Characters by Joseph Howard. Touchstone Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Scott Rudin and Dawn Steel. Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit is written by Paul Rudnick, James Orr, Jim Cruickshank and Judi Ann Mason and it is directed by Bill Duke. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit was released on 10th December 1993 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit was made on a budget of $38 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $57 million. Cinematography was done by Oliver Wood and editing by John Carter and Pem Herring. The music was composed by Marc Shaiman along with Miles Goodman.
