A group of deformed dolls from Uglyville venture into the Institute of Perfection to prove that they can participate in the Gauntlet training, ultimately saving their friend from capture and creating a new portal to the human world where they are placed with their perfect human companions. UglyDolls is a 2019 English-language Animation Adventure movie featuring Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Mon E, Blake Shelton, Wang Leehom, Pitbull and . The movie is based on Uglydoll by David Horvath Sun-min Kim. STX Family in association with Reel FX Animation Studios, Alibaba Pictures, Huaxia Film Distribution, Original Force and Troublemaker Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Robert Rodriguez, Jane Hartwell and Oren Aviv. UglyDolls is written by Erica Rivinoja and directed by Kelly Asbury. STX Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. UglyDolls was released on 3rd May 2019 and takes a screen time of 87 minutes. UglyDolls was made on a budget of $45 million and at the box office it grossed only $32 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Alison Peck. Editing was done by Julie Rogers and Nolan Southerland. The music was composed by Christopher Lennertz.
