Orphaned siblings Andi and Bruce try to take care of their dog by swindling a pawn shop owner, but they get caught and returned to their neglectful foster parents, leading them to find an abandoned hotel where they rescue and care for stray dogs, ultimately creating a successful Hotel for Dogs with the help of their social worker. The movie is based on Hotel for Dogs by Lois Duncan. DreamWorks Pictures in association with Nickelodeon Movies, Cold Spring Pictures, The Donners Company and The Montecito Picture Company. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Lauren Shuler Donner, Ewan Leslie, Jonathan Gordon and Jason Clark. Hotel for Dogs is written by Jeff Lowell, Robert Schooley, Mark Mccorkle and Lois Duncan and it is directed by Thor Freudenthal. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Hotel for Dogs was released on 19th March 2009 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes.
