After their fathers murder, Raj and Prem work to reclaim control of their fathers criminal empire from his rivals Dhaneshwar and Tejeshwar. Sapoot is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime film starring Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Sonali Bendre, Karisma Kapoor, Kiran Kumar, Mukesh Rishi and Ramesh Goyal. Rahul Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jaidev Thackeray, Rajan Sharma and Satyan Sharma. Sapoot is written by Anu Malik and directed by Jagdish A. Sharma. Ultra Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Sapoot was released on 8th November 1996 and takes a screen time of 160 minutes. Sapoot was made on a budget of ₹6 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹6 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by S. Khan. Cinematography was done by Damodar Naidu and editing by Hussain A. Burmawalla. The music was composed by National Award winner Anu Malik.
