Saadhanai

A directors dream project about the love story between Salim and Anarkali is abandoned due to suspicion from his wife, but years later his son and a man named Prabhu become involved in a new version of the film that ends tragically. Saadhanai is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language Drama movie starring Sivaji Ganesan, K. R. Vijaya, Shivaji Ganesan, Nalini Kanth, Prabhu Ganesan and K.r. Vijaya. Pragaas Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) M. K. M. Zawahir and Imayam Pragasam. The movie is written and directed by A. S. Prakasam. Saadhanai was released on 10th January 1986. Cinematography was done by G. Or. Nathan and editing by V. Rajagopal. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja.
