A wrestler named Charandas falls in love with Chameli and is determined to marry her despite opposition from their families, eventually eloping with the help of their friends and lawyer. Chameli Ki Shaadi is a 1986 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama film featuring Anil Kapoor, Amrita Singh, Om Prakash Chibber, Amjad Khan, Pankaj Kapur, Annu Kapoor and Jayshree T. Prakash Mehra Productions in association with Chetan Enterprises and Soham Rockstar Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ramesh Ningoo and Sushil Gaur. Chameli Ki Shaadi is written by Basu Chatterjee, Prakash Mehra and Om Prakash Sonik and it is directed by Basu Chatterjee. Chameli Ki Shaadi was released on 21st February 1986.
