A man named Shankar dies in a work accident and his son, Rakesh, later learns of his true identity and his fathers murder, seeking vengeance with the help of a rape survivor. Rocky is a 1981 Indian Hindi-language Action Romance motion picture starring Sanjay Dutt, Tina Munim, Reena Roy, Shakti Kapoor, Tina Ambani, Ranjit Barot and Maqsood. Mehboob Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Amarjeet. Rocky is written by Bharat B. Bhalla and Dr. Rahi Masoom Reza and it is directed by Sunil Dutt. Shemaroo Videos acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Rocky was released on 8th May 1981 and takes a screen time of 151 minutes. Rocky was made on a budget of ₹9 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹2 crore. Cinematography was done by S. Ramachandra and editing by Waman Bhonsle and Gurudutt Shirali. The music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman.
