The movie is inspired from Eye of the Needle 1978 novel by Ken Follett. Kings Road Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Stephen J. Friedman. The movie is directed by Richard Marquand. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the film. Eye of the Needle was released on 24th July 1981 and takes a screen time of 112 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $17 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Stanley Mann. Cinematography was done by Alan Hume and editing by Sean Barton.
