Natsamrat depicts the tragic life of a veteran theatre actor who faces conflicts with his family and finds solace in memories and a young admirer before passing away on stage. Natsamrat is a 2016 Indian Marathi-language Drama Family motion picture starring Nana Patekar, Medha Manjrekar, Vikram Gokhale, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Sunil Barve, Ajit Parab and Samir Chandra. The movie is inspired from Natsamrat by V. V. Shirwadkar. Fincraft Media & Entertainment PVT. LTD. in association with Gajanan Chitra and Great Maratha Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nana Patekar and Vishwas Joshi. Natsamrat is written by Abhijeet Deshpande, Kiran Yadnyopavit and Kiran Yadnopavit and it is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Zee Studios acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Natsamrat was released on 1st January 2016 and takes a screen time of 166 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹40 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Mahesh Manjrekar and Abhijeet Deshpande and Kiran Yadnopavit. Cinematography was done by Ajith V. Reddy and editing by Paresh Manjrekar. The music was composed by Ajit Parab.
