Two African American men are falsely accused of murder and sent to prison where they form an unlikely bond, and eventually embark on a bootlegging run in an attempt to clear their names. Imagine Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Brian Grazer and Eddie Murphy. Life is written by Robert Ramsey and Matthew Stone and it is directed by Ted Demme. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Life was released on 2nd September 1999 and takes a screen time of 109 minutes. Life was made on a budget of $80 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Cinematography was done by Geoffrey Simpson and editing by Jeffrey Wolf. The music was composed by R. Kelly along with Wyclef Jean.
