Island of Greed is a 1997 Hong Kong action crime thriller film directed by Michael Mak and starring Andy Lau and Tony Leung Ka-fai. The film is set and filmed in Taiwan and deals with corruption in the Government of the Republic of China. China Star Entertainment Group acquired the distribution rights for the film. Island of Greed was released on 23rd December 1997 in Cantonese,Mandarin and Hokkien languages and takes a screen time of 126 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $18 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Johnny Mak. Cinematography was done by Jingle Ma, Tony Cheung and Lin Tien-kui and editing by Poon Hung. The music was composed by Raymond Wong along with Landy Wei.
