A rookie NYPD officer is wrongfully accused of a crime after killing a robber, becomes romantically involved with a man connected to the incident, and ultimately confronts him after his violent spree leads to personal attacks, culminating in a deadly showdown. Blue Steel is a 1990 American English-language Action Crime film featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, Ron Silver, Clancy Brown, Elizabeth Pe A, Louise Fletcher, Elizabeth Perkins and D.j. Sharp. Blue Steel was Produced by Edward R. Pressman and Oliver Stone. Blue Steel is written by Kathryn Bigelow and Eric Red and it is directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer acquired the distribution rights for the film. The film has a running time of 102 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $8 million. Cinematography was done by Amir Mokri and editing by Lee Percy. The music was composed by Brad Fiedel.
