Guru Sishyan

Two soon-to-be-released convicts plan to reveal the truth behind a wrongful death sentence, posing as CBI officers and ending up falling in love with women who have family connections to the case, eventually uncovering a hidden treasure cave which they attempt to use as leverage for justice and succeeding in seeing the real culprits arrested. Guru Sishyan is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language Action Comedy motion picture featuring Rajinikanth, Gautami, Prabhu Ganesan, Pandiyan, Cho Ramaswamy, Radha Ravi and L.i.c. Narasimhan. The movie is based on Insaf Ki Pukar by M. D. Sunder. P. A. Art Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Panchu Arunachalam and Meena Panchu Arunachalam. Guru Sishyan is written by Simone Spinazze and Panchu Arunachalam and it is directed by S.p. Muthuraman and S. P. Muthuraman. Mangaadu Amman Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Guru Sishyan was released on 13th April 1988 and takes a screen time of 144 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Panchu Arunachalam. Cinematography was done by T. S. Vinayagam and editing by R. Vittal and C. Lancy. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja.
