Movie is a remake of the Hollywood movie Man on Fire (2004). Quite an effort to reproduce the movie with quite a different climax. Ltd. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Ek Ajnabee was released on 9th December 2005 and takes a screen time of 143 mins. Ek Ajnabee was made on a budget of ₹12 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹6 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Manoj Tyagi and Apoorva Lakhia. Cinematography was done by Gururaj R. J. and editing by Steven H. Bernard. The music was composed by Amar Mohile along with Shekhar Ravjiani, Vishal Dadlani and Vishal-shekhar.
