Vamsi and Maya, the main characters of the film, Diary, discover a haunted beach house after finding a diary from the previous owner and experience eerie events themselves, spurring them to uncover the dark secrets of the houses past. Diary is a 2009 Indian telugu-language Mystery film starring Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara, Navdeep, Piaa Bajpai, Jayaram, Suman and Sreedhar Rao. The movie is inspired from Main Hoon Na by Farah Khan. Ayngaran International Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) K. Karunamoorthy and C. Arunpandian. Diary is written by S. Ramakrishnan and Raju Sundaram and it is directed by Raju Sundaram. Ayngaran International acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Diary was released on 22nd May 2009 and takes a screen time of 140 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Raju Sundaram, Farah Khan, Abbas Tyrewala and Rajesh Saathi. Cinematography was done by Arjun Jena and editing by V. T. Vijayan. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
