A princess named Arundhati learns about her familys dark history and her connection to her ancestor Jejamma, and must use all her strength and wit to defeat the vengeful ghost of Pasupathi. Arundhati is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language Horror Mystery film starring Anushka Shetty, Sonu Sood, Divya Nagesh, Aachi Manorama, Sayaji Shinde, Deepak and Prudhvi Raj. Mallemala Entertainments was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shyam Prasad Reddy. Arundhati is written by Ramana Chintapally, Abhishek Devalla, Mallemala Unit and Chintapalli Ramana and it is directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. Arundhati was released on 16th January 2009 and takes a screen time of 131 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Arundhati was made on a budget of ₹13 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹55 crore. Cinematography was done by K. K. Senthil Kumar and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh. The music was composed by Koti. At the 2010 South Filmfare Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Actress (Anushka Shetty) and Best Supporting Actor (Sonu Sood).
