Adventure Thriller Drama Action

A veteran captain, Robinson, becomes depressed and estranged from his son after losing his job, but regains purpose when he joins an expedition to salvage a wrecked U-boat carrying gold; however, communication difficulties and tensions among the crew, along with a surprise takeover by Russians, lead to a fight, a fire, and the loss of crew members as they salvage the gold, only to realize they were set up by their employer, prompting Robinson to make a risky decision to avoid capture, resulting in his sacrifice. Black Sea is a 2014 English-language Adventure Thriller movie featuring Jude Law, Konstantin Khabensky, Scoot Mcnairy, Ben Mendelsohn, David Threlfall, Karl Davies and Luke Lynch. Film4 Productions in association with Cowboy Films and Etalon Film. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Charles Steel and Kevin Macdonald. Black Sea is written by Dennis Kelly and directed by Kevin Macdonald. Focus Features acquired the distribution rights for the film. Black Sea was released on 12th February 2015 and takes a screen time of 115 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $4 million. Cinematography was done by Christopher Ross and editing by Justine Wright. The music was composed by Ilan Eshkeri.
