A Soviet submarine captain named Marko Ramius plans to defect to the United States with his officers, leading to a series of events involving CIA analyst Jack Ryan and an attempt to sink Ramius submarine Red October, ultimately resulting in a successful rescue and Ramius revealing his reason for defecting, while Ryan finally finds solace at home. The Hunt for Red October is a 1990 American English-language Action Adventure motion picture featuring Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Scott Glenn, James Earl Jones, Sam Neill, Joss Ackland and Paul Yalnezian.
