In a post-apocalyptic world, an insurance investigator discovers a rogue robot, meets a modified robot and is forced to flee with her and other robots, before discovering that a self-evolving robot is responsible for illegal modifications, ultimately reuniting with his family and offering hope for humanitys future. Automata is a 2014 English-language Action Sci-Fi motion picture starring Antonio Banderas, Birgitte Hjort S Rensen, Dylan Mcdermott, Robert Forster, Tim Mcinnerny, Melanie Griffith and Dimitar Ilkov. Lion Television and BBC Scotland in association with BBC Bristol. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Antonio Banderas, Les Weldon, Sandra Hermida and Danny Lerner. Automata is written by Gabe Ibáñez, Igor Legarreta, Javier Sanchez Donate, Gabe Ib Ez and Igor Legaretta Gomez and it is directed by Gabe Ibáñez and Gabe Ib Ez. Contracorrientes Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Automata was released on 16th October 2014 and takes a screen time of 110 minutes. Automata was made on a budget of $15 million and at the box office it grossed only $6 million. Cinematography was done by Alejandro Martinez and editing by Sergio Rozas. The music was composed by Zacarías M. De La Riva along with Zacar As M. De La Riva.
